For MTN: if you are on BIS, send status as sms to 21600 – you will get a reply as to when your BIS will expire as well as if you are still within fair usage of your BIS data or if you have exhausted it. If you are not on BIS, simply dial *559# and you will get your data details.
For Etisalat: dial *228# and you will get a reply of how much data balance you have.

You can try MTN. Just send BBC to 21600 as sms. Then restart your phone after you got a confirmation from MTN welcoming you to their BIS service.

To share data on MTN, please use the steps below:
– Activate an applicable data plan i.e. buy a data bundle
– Dial *131*2*1# or text REG to 131; to register for MTN Data Share, you will receive a unique security PIN
– You are required to change the system generated PIN to a new PIN they can easily remember by dialling*131*2*5# or by texting Change OLD_PIN NEW_PIN NEW_PIN to 131. E.g Change 0000 1234 1234 to 131. Where 0000 is old PIN and 1234 is your new PIN.
– After changing the PIN, you are required to add beneficiaries to your MTN shared Data Bundle account via USSD menu *131*2*2# or by texting Add to 131. You can add up to 5 beneficiaries.
– Once you have added beneficiaries, you (the sponsor) will be able to share your available data bundle among the added beneficiaries by sending the keyword Share to 131 or simply dial USSD code *131*2*3#.

For MTN you cannot know your BIS data balance. But you will be notified the moment you exhaust the allowable limit. Contact me if you exhaust your limit for information on how to get more data till the original expiry date of your subscription.

Glo Comonth is strictly for Blackberry BIS. If you can change the IMEI number of any phone to that of Blackberry, then you can use the Comonth in that phone. Note that in some countries, it is illegal to change the IMEI number of a phone. So you need to confirm before you do that.
Meanwhile, I doubt if you can use BIS on your HTC phone.
