How to transfer Phone contacts from Blackberry to Android phone

device-lineup-q10.png.originalLately, a lot of folks who use blackberry phones are now ‘unfaithfully’ migrating into android phone. The likes of Tecno, Infinix, Innjoo, Samsung, Lenovo, Gionee, etc have dominated the Nigerian market. They provide amazing feels, functions, funs, social integration, etc. Couple of folks have become phone addicts, consequently. Fine!

Now, for those who used or are still using blackberry devices, and you want to transfer your phone contacts (phonebook) from your blackberry device to your android device – here are a few simple steps you can take to do so:

  1. Power on the Bluetooth on both phones (the BB and the android)
    If you do not know how, then follow these steps –

    To activate Bluetooth on your Android device

    • Go to “Settings> Wireless & networks> Bluetooth Settings”
    • Check the box next to “Bluetooth”
    • Check the box next to “Visible” in order for the device to be detected by the BlackBerry.

      To activate Bluetooth on your BB device

      • From the BlackBerry home screen, click on: Options (wrench icon)> Networks and Connections> Bluetooth Connections.
      • Turn Bluetooth > On
  2. From your Blackberry device, pair both device
    • In “Paired Devices”, click on “Add a new device”, then click on “Search” and your Android should be detected.
    • Select your Android device and click on Submit to prompt your device.
  3. Transfer all your contacts via bluetooth
    • On your BlackBerry go to “Paired devices” and then select your Android phone.
    • Press the BlackBerry button and select “Transfer contacts”
    • Authorize the Bluetooth access on the Android device and wait for the transfer to be completed.
